This is the first time I’m using an HMO card. How does it benefit me?

Your Maxicare healthcare membership provides you access to excellent medical assistance provided by our top-caliber medical specialists from the country’s finest hospitals and clinics. This is made available to you on a no-cash-out basis.

Under your coverage, you are entitled to any number of out-patient consultations with any of our accredited specialists. Hospital confinements are covered up to your Maximum Benefit Limit/Accumulated Benefit Limit. Emergency Care, Annual Check – Up and Preventive Care Benefits are also your program.

What is an LOA? How do I obtain it?

The LOA or Letter of Authorization serves as Maxicare’s official document authorizing the hospital to accommodate your hospitalization under Maxicare. This is issued by our designated Customer Care Representatives to the hospital’s Billing Section within 24 hours upon our monitoring of your confinement. It is important to present your Maxicare card to the hospital upon admission to enable us to monitor and assess your confinement and thus promptly issue the LOA (if availment is within your Maxicare healthcare program). Our designated Customer Care Representatives  will be available to visit you within 24 hours of your hospital confinement.
What is a Primary Care Center? Is it to the hospital or clinic?

Maxicare’s Primary Care Center is a medical facility that provides you quality medical assistance. We have adequate number of primary care physicians who are either internal medicine specialists or pediatricians to attend to your medical needs. Our centers also provide basic laboratory services so you won’t need to line up at the hospital or clinic where patient queuing is a scenario. Our primary care centers operate from Mondays thru Saturdays from 8am to 5pm present, we  have Primary Care Centers located at:

  • Ground Floor Filomena Building, Amorsolo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City
  • MGR04 Ground Floor, Medical Arts Tower, Inc., The Medical City, Ortigas, Pasig City
  • Room 1501, 15/F, North Tower, Cathedral Heights, St. Luke's Medical Center, Cathedral Heights,    Quezon City
  • DLS STI MegaClinic 5/F SM Megamall Bldg. A, Mandaluyong City
  • Unit 309, 3/F, Dr. Jose Cecilio Borromeo Bldg., Kamuning St., Capitol Site, Cebu City
  • Delos Santos Medical Center, 302 3rd floor Delos Santos Bldg., Delos Santos Medical Center, E. Rodriguez Ave. Quezon City.

Are you open on weekends?

Our Primary Care Centers are open on Saturdays from 7am to 6pm, except for Delos Santos Medical Center which opens from 8am to 5pm, Mondays thru Fridays, and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays.DLS STI Mega Clinic which opens from 9am to 9pm daily.

What should I do if my doctor recommends confinement?

For an elective confinement, please present your Maxicare-accredited doctor’s admitting order with your Maxicare card to the hospital’s admitting section. You will then be asked to swipe your Maxicare card at the POS terminal to secure the Letter of Eligibility or LOE. Once the LOE is obtained, you will be assigned to a room according to your plan benefit.

If your availment is emergency in nature, please proceed to the nearest clinic or hospital for immediate medical treatment. Please notify us subsequently so we can properly assist you.

How can I avail of my Maxicare healthcare benefits?

It’s important to always bring with you your Maxicare Card for your hassle-free availment. Please present this to the Maxicare Customer Care Representatives, Coordinator or hospital staff you visit.
